CEP Contributing to SEA Directive Evaluation

CEP is working with the European Commission to evaluate the effectiveness of the SEA Directive

CEP is working on a ‘Study concerning the preparation of the report on the application and effectiveness of the SEA Directive (Directive 2001/42/EC)’ (led by Milieu Ltd) for the European Commission, DG Environment. 

CEP experts on strategic environmental assessment (SEA) – Dr Bill Sheate and Ric Eales – are specialist advisors to the project, which is due to report in 2016.

EEA Publishes Environmental Indicators Contributed to by CEP

THE EEA HAS PUBLISHED TWO ENVIRONMENTAL INDICATORS CONTRIBUTED TO BY CEP

The European Environment Agency has published two of the indicators CEP contributed to under the recent project providing ‘Support to developing Forward-looking information and services (FLIS) and global megatrends fact sheets/indicators elaboration‘. 

The indicators look at global Population change and Gross Domestic Product (GDP).

CEP Co-organising the Defra Flood Resilient Communities Conference

CEP is co-organising the Flood Resilient Communities conference in partnership with CIWEM, Defra and the NFF.

CEP is co-organising the  Flood Resilient Communities: Evaluating the Defra Flood Resilience Community Pathfinder conference on Wednesday 2 December 2015. This is a partnership event between CIWEM, Defra, National Flood Forum (NFF) and Collingwood Environmental Planning on the key lessons learned from the Flood Resilience Community Pathfinder projects on working with communities to improve flood resilience. 

CEP has recently completed the Flood Resilience Community Pathfinder Evaluation for Defra (2013 – 2015).
